I'm forcing myself to do a thankful Thursday on this Thursday when I really don't feel all that thankful. The arctic vortex weather hit my area on Sunday with lots of snow and single-digit temperatures. I had a great time at the congregational seder, but I am kinda glad that Passover is done for this year. I don't follow the holiday's dietary restrictions at all, and so I got pretty tired of getting dirty looks from my Jewish managers every time I ate a sandwich on my lunch break. Ugh. In case you didn't know that I worked for a printing company, right now my hands are dry from always handling paper (and from the winter weather) and covered with ink smears and a few paper cuts. I wasn't able to attend services this year, but I still had a very sweet (literally) Rosh Hashanah, and I'm grateful for that. The High Holy Days can be stressful (especially when the Season 10 premiere of NCIS falls on Yom Kippur -- ugh!) but they can also make Rebecca very thankful to be Jewish.
